Description

N1226G is Powered by the Continental CC340 180 hp 4 cylinder motor and swings a Catto 80×50 propeller and with its low empty weight of just 965# this Carbon Cub leaps off the ground in just 3 lengths of the fuselage with the pilot and half tanks. The carbureted engine is easy to start and easy to maintain and is most reliable. Further adding to its light weight, short field capability is the 24 gallons of fuel offering 4 hours of flying fun, vortex generators on the wings, standard gear with 8:50×6 wheels and tires, bungee suspension system and its standard baggage compartment with added shelf storage. One can easily slip away for a weekend with all the camping gear needed. Are you building your picture yet? On the inside, this EX2 has a finely polished carbon fiber interior with black ballistic nylon seats, a one piece carbon floor and seat base with adjustable pilot seat, Amsafe seat belts with shoulder restraints, cargo pockets and a full view sky light with roof vents. While enjoying 115mph cruise speed on just 6.5gph, you will also navigate using the CubCrafters custom world VFR panel centered around the Garmin area 760 gps and monitor your engine vitals using the EI CGR-30P. Trig radio and transponder offer the necessary ADS-B out and reliable communications. Your new Carbon Cub EX2 was built by the West Michigan Aviation Academy in Grand Rapids, MI. Select students in this STEM based program and under the watchful eye of the technical maintenance staff have been working to build this aircraft over the last two years. Daily classroom work learning rules, regulations and best practices in an effort to one day work in the industry, put their knowledge to work in the lab building this shining example of exactly what a Carbon Cub should be.
