Support Engineer – Avionics and Electrical

Position Summary

CubCrafters, an industry leader in light aircraft manufacturing, has an opening for an avionics focused Engineer. It is a job that offers a wide variety and the opportunity to be part of a great team to design, build, test, and innovate aircraft.  This position will be responsible mainly for avionics and electrical production support, process improvements, design projects, and other tasks as needs arise.

Responsibilities

  • Support Production by:
  • Serve as design support for production with installations, wiring, schematics
  • Improving developed designs for ease of manufacturing
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Helping with troubleshooting
  • Dispositioning Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
  • Designing new products – avionics and electrical focus
  • Other tasks as assigned

  • Production support needs are handled in a timely fashion so that the line continues to operate and meet its goals
  • Bring about successful implementation of new product through successful design and test work
  • Foster good working relationships with all personnel

Qualifications

  • Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Aero Engineering Degree
  • 2+ years’ experience preferred
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing preferred
  • Strong technical, analytical, problem and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic work environment
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to present data effectively

Compensation

  • Pay is DOE: Range is $60,000 to $85,000
  • Sick Leave benefit which is greater than required under the WA State law
  • Six paid holidays annually
  • Employee-discretionary tax-free savings in the form of a 401K plan with CubCrafters matching contributions up to 4% after 6 months of employment
  • Company pays 75% of base medical plan for employee and 25% for employee’s dependents. Separate vision, dental, life, and LTD available
  • Health care plan is available the first month after 30 days of continuous employment
  • Access to CubCrafters’ aircraft, rental at the employee’s rate
