CubCrafters Customer Experience Manager, Laceigh Strunk, talks about the new fixed rear seat option for the Carbon Cub! This new option gives the rear seat passenger or crew all of the same fixed seat options that were previously available only to the pilot in the front.
Installation only takes a few minutes (2 bolts is all), and the seat and seat base are fully engineered and structurally tested to meet or exceed ASTM standards for light aircraft. The seat itself only weighs only slightly more than the original sling seat, it is adjustable both fore and aft, and it tilts forward for baggage compartment access. It is a great option for new aircraft in production, as well as for retrofit with existing Sport and Carbon Cubs (CC11-100, SS, FX, FX-2, FX-2, EX, EX-2, & EX-3).
