Handyman / Grounds Maintenance

Position Summary

The Handyman / Grounds Maintenance position is responsible for maintaining the company’s outdoor grounds, facilities, and overall property appearance. This role also provides general support to manufacturing facilities through maintenance, repair, and upkeep activities that help ensure safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Outdoor grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, and general yard care
• Irrigation system maintenance and repair
• Light chainsaw work and tree/brush cleanup
• Basic carpentry, minor repairs, and facility maintenance
• A wide variety of hands-on outdoor projects, light indoor maintenance tasks, and support activities throughout
the manufacturing facilities
• Operate tools, equipment, and light machinery in a safe and efficient manner
• Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas
• Perform other duties as assigned to support business operations

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and environments
• Experience with tools, equipment, and building materials
• Experience with landscaping, mowing, basic carpentry, or general maintenance preferred
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or with a small team
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work including standing, walking, bending, kneeling and repetitive movement for extended periods

Compensation

Pay Range is $18.00 to $24.00, per hour depending on experience
• Sick Leave benefit which is more generous than what is required under the WA State Law (RCW 49.46.210).
• Pro-rated six (6) paid holiday annually.
• HSA, HMO, PPO medical plans available. Company pays 75% of base plan for employees and 25% of base plan
for dependents. Vision, dental, life and LTD coverage available at employees’ expense, at a group rate. Health
care plan is available the first of the month after 30 days of continuous employment.
• Employee-discretionary tax-free savings in the form of a 401(k) plan with CubCrafters’ matching contributions up
to 4% after six months of employment.
• Access to CubCrafters’ aircraft, rental at the employee’s rate.

WORK SCHEDULE & CLASSIFICATION:
• Full-time, non-exempt (hourly).
• Approximately 40 hours per week.
