CubCrafters is pleased to offer the first non-TSO’d, fully-integrated EFIS avionics suite for our Part 23 Certified aircraft, XCub. Buyers placing their orders for new XCubs delivering after January 1, 2018 may now select Garmin's extraordinary G3X Touch flight display system. Also available is Garmin's integrated, dual-axis digital autopilot that includes the GMC 307 control head. This new glass panel delivers highly-advanced capabilities at a price that was unthinkable in a certified aircraft before now.

When we launched XCub in June, 2016, the FAA had begun to adapt a new "risk-based" certification philosophy aimed at increasing safety and performance. The agency was receptive when CubCrafters submitted comprehensive certification plans as an amendment to the XCub Type Certificate. CubCrafters and the FAA coordinated the design, validation, and testing for this barrier- breaking program. FAA has now approved the amendment to the XCub Type Certificate allowing installation and operation of the G3X-based panel on the aircraft.

Since its introduction, the Garmin G3X Touch system has become the overwhelming favorite of new Carbon Cub buyers. Now, CubCrafters offers the same level of functionality, performance, safety and value to our XCub customers. The G3X Touch 10.6-inch high-resolution display is configurable for split-screen mode and includes terrain/obstacles alerting, attitude and synthetic vision. The system also delivers full engine monitoring.
