Developed by world-class aviator Luke Czepiela in collaboration with RS Flight Systems, the software update delivers meaningful improvements in overall aircraft performance while maintaining the simplicity and reliability of the Rotax engine platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Czepiela, a Red Bull Air Race pilot and one of the world&#8217;s most accomplished STOL pilots, is well known throughout the aviation community for his use of Carbon Cub aircraft in numerous Red Bull projects, demonstrations, and performances around the globe.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among his many accomplishments, Czepiela made international headlines with his historic Bullseye Landing of a specially prepared Carbon Cub atop the helipad of Dubai&#8217;s iconic Burj Al Arab hotel\u2014one of the most challenging precision aviation feats ever accomplished. Drawing on years of experience operating high-performance aircraft in demanding environments, Czepiela worked closely with RS Flight Systems to refine the Rotax 916 iS engine management software and unlock additional performance across the Carbon Cub UL\u2019s flight envelope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pilots can expect:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Quicker acceleration during takeoff and go-around operations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improved climb performance and increased cruise speed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improved deceleration and energy management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike traditional performance modifications that require hardware changes, the upgrade is accomplished entirely through software, making installation straightforward while preserving the engine&#8217;s factory architecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Luke has accumulated thousands of hours operating Carbon Cub aircraft in some of the most demanding flying environments imaginable,&#8221; said Brad Damm, Vice President of CubCrafters. &#8220;His deep understanding of the aircraft, combined with the engineering expertise of RS Flight Systems, has resulted in a software enhancement that makes an already remarkable airplane even more responsive and capable.
