DESCRIPTION:Join SWT Aviation and CubCrafters for the 4th Annual Smoky Mountain Adventure during prime “leaf-looking” season. We’ll base our Adventure out of the High Valley Resort in Suches\, GA (GA87)\, the highest elevation\, private grass airstrip in Georgia. \nDaily fly-outs to area grass strips throughout the Smokies; backcountry flying\, landing on everything from well-manicured strips to hayfields. And this year\, we have a very special outing planned! Bill Elliott\, professional race car driver (currently retired)\, grew up just down the road from the home of Smoky Mountain Adventure\, Dawsonville\, GA. He has an airstrip just outside of town\, and there just happens to be a motorsports park right around the corner. We plan to fly into Elliott Field\, have some friendly competition on the karting track\, a little lunch and then fly around the mountains some more. How’s THAT sound for an Adventure?!?! \nFor those who would rather spend the day on the ground\, there are some wonderful local wineries you can tour\, do some hiking on well-renowned trails in the area\, or…. just sit back and enjoy the gorgeous scenery. \nAfter everybody comes back to base on Friday & Saturday\, we’ll have some more friendly competition in STOL and flour bombing…. oh yea\, and how about some skeet shooting! (remember to bring your shotgun & skeet) \nIn the evenings\, sit around the campfire\, enjoy the cool mountain air and just do some “plane” talking.

DESCRIPTION:Calling all Southwest aviators to the newly expanded Prescott “Wings out West Airshow”! \nEvery year\, Embry-Riddle has their homecoming celebration in early October up in Prescott (KPRC)\, AZ and this year marks the 35th Anniversary of their first graduation class! Many of the accomplished pilots of that class are coming back\, including graduates who will be performing an airshow during the day on Saturday\, October 7. \nIn addition\, SunCountry Cubs is pleased to announce that TacAero\, CubCrafter’s only Authorized Training Center based in Hood River OR\, will be opening up their new “TacAero South” school\, also based at Prescott! \nIf you are in the area\, plan on joining us\, SunCountry Cubs and TacAero\, at KPRC at the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Flight Line all day Saturday! We will have an XCub\, Top Cub\, Carbon Cub FX\, and Carbon Cub SS on display for you to look at\, and the TacAero team will be happy to talk about their expanding operations in Prescott\, especially for the winter months! \nSee you there!

DESCRIPTION:Annual Stanley Segalla Cub Fly-In Old Rhinebeck. Date: Saturday Sept. 23\, 2017. Location: Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome\, Rhinebeck\, NY (KORA) or (NY94) East of Kingston\, NY (see sectional). Start Time: 8:30am.  \nArrivals can be night before or day of\, but please not during the airshow. You can camp the night before or find your way to any number of hotels or B&Bs. NOTICE: No fuel is available for sale at Old Rhinebeck. Kingston is closest fuel. All Cubs welcomed.  \nCubCrafters STOL Competition 10-11:30 am. Takeoff and landing combined distance\, lowest number. Mains must be off the ground for the takeoff and shortest stopped distance beyond the line. Winner takes home CubCrafters swag.  \nCubCrafters free pancake breakfast and airshow pass for the first 15 airplane arrivals. ($12/$20 thereafter\, breakfast/show). $15 for seniors and $5 for kids under 17 years. Those wanting to come just for the morning are welcome but need to depart by 1pm prior to airshow.  \nAir Show Time: Saturday and Sunday 2pm-4pm. NO GA operations during this time.
