Chief Financial Officer

Position Summary

The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for crafting effective financial strategy, providing appropriate and needed metrics, and bringing accounting best-practices to the company. The successful CFO will also play a role in developing overall company strategy, but especially in crafting and implementing financial procedures to improve and maintain the financial health of the company.

Responsibilities

Finance/Accounting
• At a top level, participate in crafting annual financial strategy then drive execution of same.
• Oversight of, and responsibility for, all accounting transactional activities via oversight and management of
Controller and accounting staff. Responsible for optimizing accounting department organization, staffing, and
efficiency.
• Maintain awareness of cash account balances and provide cash forecasting.
• Oversee and ensure the timely delivery of:
a. financial statements on a monthly basis including financial and operating metrics for the company to
include all profit centers, business units, and operating entities
b. management and “key metrics” reports and analyses
c. all tax documentation and regulatory filings as required
• Lead development of accurate COGS as a basis for analyzing profitability and strategic product line decisions.
• Manage production of the annual budget and projections.
• Oversee the various company insurance relationships.
• Fiduciary responsibility for 401(k) program.
• Support the President, CEO in managing and facilitating potential outside investments and funding projects.
• Coordination and oversight of annual audit and various SEC filings.

IT
• Overall responsibility for IT function and strategic management. This will include crafting an annual plan in
collaboration with the President, CEO.
• Oversite of IT staff and execution of above referenced annual plan.

Supply Chain
• Oversee supply chain functions and staff.
• Drive adoption of proper principles, programs, and metrics.

Human Resources
• Oversee human resources function and staff.
• Drive adoption of proper principles, programs, and metrics.

Special projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Degree from a four year university in accounting, business administration, or business management
• Minimum five years of progressively increased financial management experience with at least controller level
responsibility and experience
• CPA certificate would be a plus
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in using sophisticated ERP/MRP systems, Epicor would be a plus
• Excellent communication skills including verbal and written, and use of all current computer communication tools.
• Skilled at developing key performance indicators and presenting and explaining financial performance to internal and
external users.
• Ideal candidate will have a “business partner” mentality working closely with the President, CEO and Senior
Leadership Team on effective strategy development and decision making.
• Experience working with private equity or other professional investors is preferred.
• Personal characteristics: highly organized with good personal work discipline, results oriented, a strategic
thinker, and an effective planner.
• General aviation experience would be helpful but is not required

Compensation

• One week of paid vacation after year one of employment and two weeks of paid vacation per year afterwards;
• Six paid holidays annually;
• Sick leave policy which is more generous than Washington State requires.
• Employee-discretionary tax-free savings in the form of a 401K plan with Cub Crafters matching contributions up
to 4% after six months of employment;
• Major medical plan for you (the employee) provided under our current plan (Company pays 75% of base plan), Company
pays 25% of dependent coverage. Separate vision, dental, life, and LTD coverage for you and all coverage for family
members available at your expense, at a group rate. Health care plan is available the first of the month after 30
days of continuous employment and is subject to annual policy renewal provisions/changes in the plan;
• Access to Cub Crafters’ aircraft, rental at the employee’s rate.
• Pay Range is $90,000 – Commensurate with experience.
