Manufacturing Engineer

Position Summary

CubCrafters, an industry leader in light aircraft manufacturing, has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Engineer. This position will be responsible for production line process improvements, tooling and shop aid design, and will manage continuous improvement principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes.


• Develop manufacturing process controls
• Identify and Implement process improvements
• Identify and design tooling, production equipment, assembly methods to streamline the
• Determine root cause of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in
designs, tolerances, or processing methods
• Review product designs for manufacturability or completeness
• Prepare documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures
• Train production personnel in new or existing methods

• Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering Degree
• 2+ years’ experience preferred
• Understanding of manufacturing processes
• Understanding of lean manufacturing preferred
• Strong technical, analytical, problem and organizational skills with strong attention to
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic work environment
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to present data effectively
• CMfgE certification a plus
